An initiative to help the senior citizens & physically disabled for casting their vote without hindrance

Desk Correspondent, abptakmaa, Kolkata, 10th May 2019: To spread awareness about Election, specially among the youths, “Qari Ahmer Foundation (QAF)” has taken several initiatives for the people of Kolkata. “I am giving my own vote. (আমার ভোট আমি নিজে দেবো।) Are you also giving yours! (আপনিওদেবেন তো!)”- spreading this message Qari Ahmer Foundation has started a canter van activity to attract people’s attention.  The foundation is also providing wheelchairs to help the physically disabled and senior citizens of Chittaranjan Avenue evergreen Sporting club & welfare society and Palm Avenue Friend’s Garden for the convenient of casting their votes and will also be available at selected polling booths of North Kolkata and South Kolkata Constituency for them.

This was announced at the press conference held in Press Club today with the presence of Mr. Zaid Anwar, Director Qari Ahmer Foundation, Dr. Arunjyoti Bhikkhu, Member of Development Alliance, Ministry of Minority Affairs & Madrasha Education Government of West Bengal, Mr. Hamed Aziz Safwi, youth leader & son of late deputy speaker, West Bengal Legislative Assembly, Haider Aziz Safwi, Sk Gulam Rabbani, National Chairman Ulema Board (Auqaf), Delhi, Jain Saint Muni Shree Mani Kumarji and others.

Qari Ahmer Foundation (QAF) has been established to commemorate an impeccable, learned blind scholar Qari Anwarul Haque Ahmer Lucknavi to promote Literacy, Secularism, Pluralism, Multiculturalism and to resource under privileged youths for capitalizing employment opportunities. Qari Saheb was renowned knowledgeable theologian of Islam, spiritual guide, linguist and a poet from Lucknow. He had tremendous command over Arabic, Persian and Urdu Languages.

The founder of the Qari Ahmer Foundation, Mr. Zaid Anwar said “He is giving his vote on his own and is requesting people to give their vote on their own and will be thankful to people if they do this”.

Mr. Hamed Aziz Safwi said, “I have known Mr. Anwar since the beginning of last year and he has come across as a person who is very keen to help the poor and needy. The foundation has achieved considerable success under his leadership. I congratulate them for all their good work and hope that they will continue reaching greater heights in the future”.

The foundation is organizing fun activity by going to different locations to create awareness. They are playing quiz based on the Lok Sabha elections and are providing gifts such as caps, t-shirts to the winners. They are encouraging people to vote on their own. Publicity : Candid Communication.
